The ICA welcomed its first new member of the year this month, the Hubei Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives from China.
Hubei Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives is an umbrella organisation serving supply and marketing co-ops in the Hubei province’s agricultural sector. It supports the integrated activities of Hubei’s Agricultural Inputs Supply Chain, Daily Consumables Distribution Network, Agricultural Products Value Chain, and Renewable Resources Circulation System.
Hubei Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives has 260 direct members representing over 95,000 workers, and last year generated a revenue of CNY 2 million.
Hubei Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives has joined the ICA as a Full Member to establish connections with similar organisations globally and foster exchanges with co-operatives in other countries, to enhance its international visibility and gain greater access to advanced global technologies.
The ICA now has 323 member organisations, of which 280 are Full Members and 43 are Associate Members, from 106 countries.
