Cooperatives as key constituent of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE)

The Position Paper "Cooperatives as a key constituent of the social and solidarity economy (SSE)", approved by the ICA Board on 22 July 2020, presents ICA's position and support towards the UN resolution on SSE.

ICA recognises the very important contribution of SSE towards inclusive and sustainable development with a positive impact on people and the planet and emphasises the key role of cooperatives within SSE. Additionally, in line with the ICA 2020-2030 Strategic Plan, the paper reaffirms ICA's commitment to establish strong partnerships with other global bodies in the social and solidarity economy and promote SSE at the international level.
